No request made to Imran Khan for CEO’s appointment: PCB

Pakistan Cric­ket Board (PCB) on Friday strongly denied a story by Dawn titled
‘PM Imran turns down Mani’s proposal to appoint Majid as CEO'

“There is no truth in the story and PCB Chairman Mr. Ehsan Mani has neither made any request nor contacted Board’s patron-in-chief, Prime Minister Imran Khan, for the appointment of Mr. Majid Khan as Chief Executive Officer (CEO),” a PCB press release stated. 

“Moreover, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Gover­ning Council is intact with Mr. Ehsan Mani as the Chairman. The rest of the committees are being reconstituted. The announcement in this regard would be made in due course.”

However, Dawn stands by its story that the proposal was made.

 But it was turned down at initial stages after receiving no positive resp­onse.
